The tumuli of Gaya are not relics suspended in the past. Surrounded by villages, fields, and modern buildings, they remain living landscapes where people walk, play, and pause in their everyday lives.

When the people recede, the ancient mounds return to the rhythms of trees, mountains, mist, and light. This work observes the quiet coexistence of ancient ground and contemporary life—and the brief moments when human time enters a thousand-year-old landscape.
